Shop Production Scheduler
SUMMARY: The Production Coordinator is responsible monitoring and managing component movement throughout the production process. They are to monitor the systems in place and utilize them to prioritize the components in the appropriate order. They will utilize the constant information flow and verbal communication between teams to ensure priorities are correct and customers’ expectations are communicated throughout the facility.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Monitor and track production flow with use of ERP systems.
- Transfer components to the appropriate designations
- Route consumable materials to the appropriate work order.
- Complete the documentation for units being returned to customer.
- Communicate technician feedback back to the Customer Service Team.
- Maintain traceability of all components and detail parts.
- Utilize the ERP system to verify and alter component status codes.
- Route customer provided detail parts to the appropriate component.
- Prioritize components on the shelves for technicians.
- Manager long term hold location.
- Communicate priority shifts to technicians.
- Closely monitor expedited components to ensure expectations are met.
- Participate in meetings to provide component updates.
- Review expected component completion dates and communicate exceptions.
- Identify discrepancies with components and projected completion dates.
- Interact with the Customer Service Team and Technicians to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Review display screen data utilized by technicians to ensure its accuracy.
- Assist in the review and completion of the required Supplier Gold reports for on time delivery.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (INCLUDES EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES), ETC.):
- Associate’s degree
- 3+ years of relevant/technical work experience.
- OR an additional 2 years of specific work experience in lieu of degree.
- Proficient with Microsoft office products (Excel, Word).
- Ability to read and interpret technical information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to think on your feet and find effective solutions to unexpected challenges in production.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in scheduling, logistics, and documentation.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS (INCLUDES PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES), ETC.):
- 6+ years of production control experience.
- 4+ years of working with ERP systems.
- High mechanical aptitude.
OTHER (INCLUDE LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, SECURITY CLEARANCE, TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS, ETC.):
- The selected applicant will be subject to a background check and drug testing.
