SUMMARY: As a crucial member of the sales organization, the Senior Regional Outside Sales and Business Development Leader will collaborate closely with the VP of Sales and other leaders to drive all aspects of outside sales activities. This role is tailored for an individual contributor who excels in developing strategic initiatives, expanding market reach, and being in front of our customers, face to face.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Crafting and executing a comprehensive global and channel coverage strategy to maximize outside sales opportunities.
- Taking ownership of the outside sales strategic planning process.
- Assessing and refining the outside sales pipeline, providing strategic input on resource allocation for optimum market penetration.
- Establishing and cultivating business relationships with existing and potential customers, focusing on key accounts to identify needs and facilitate issue resolution.
- Actively participating in industry trade shows, sales meetings, and marketing workshops to showcase a strong outside sales presence.
- Hosting and coordinating customer visit as a major aspect of the role
- Staying informed about industry trends, product developments, and market conditions to maintain a competitive edge.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 7 years of relevant/technical work experience OR
- An additional 3-5 year specific work experience in lieu of degree.
- Proven experience in individual contribution within an international outside sales context.
- Background in the aerospace industry.
- Strong planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, decision making, oral and written communication skills
- Exceptional negotiation and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of aircraft and engine components
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Management, or related
- 11+ years of experience in Distribution sales, preferably components, including experience directing and leading an international sales team
