WHAT YOU WOULD DO: 

  • Manages annual sales goals for our Chicago, Oak Brook, Columbus, Kansas City and Nashville restaurants, by booking special events that are profitable for the company.
  • Manage sports teams relationships companywide. 
  • Grow sales through active prospecting of targeted businesses, organizations, associations, and event planners.
  • Seeks out new guests and sales opportunities, initiating action plan to advance and procure new business.
  • Coordinates, organizes, and heads efforts to represent the store favorably in the community.
  • Attends appropriate networking and community events to represent company and seek out new business opportunities.
  • Assists with managing off premises and private dining events.    
  • Guide Guests through catering menu, offerings, and pricing. Lead and assist with the planning of their menu and order.  Identify and facilitate delivery of special requests.
  • Manages all incoming leads via Gather, Open Table, telephone, email, and other channels; actively moves the business through the sales process.
  • Creates detailed and accurate BEOs (Event Contract with All Event Details) that are shared with the guest and appropriate restaurant team members.
  • Is available for site-visits prior to the event and the day/night of the event.
  • Lead and be hands on approach with their events; is available to be onsite and working events as necessary.
  • Partners with General Manager and Executive Chef to ensure that each event is flawlessly executed against TFK and Guest objectives.
  • Communicates effectively and genuinely with guests, team members and other departments.
  • Consistently follows up to ensure guest satisfaction that exceeds our service standards.

Other:

  • Familiar with the restaurant operations and business, including (but not limited to) menu items, group space, business trends and sales goals.
  • Self-starter, focused and driven to excel at the job daily.
  • Professionally deals with situations and people while utilizing conflict resolution skills.
  • Is able to create, develop and deploy profitable themes / themed events, new and innovative concepts, social and meetings menus, décor and services.
  • Maintains a High Presence/High Touch Rate on the Floor to ensure that his/her groups receive the highest quality experience.
  • Build strong relationships with new and repeat clients that create a lasting impression, help drive loyalty and repeat business.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MUST have restaurant or hotel/hospitality experience.
  • Must have experience managing sports teams relationships. 
  • Must have the ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
  • Must be able to physically drive a vehicle, have a valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
  • Must have the ability to use personal vehicle for deliveries and offsite events.
  • Must be able to respond, resolve, and effectively manage group issues noted in post execution communication.
  • Very sales driven, 3 year sales experience
  • Marketing and business skills preferred.
  • Food and wine knowledge.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Able to work flexible days and hours.   Working weekends and evenings may be expected.
  • Computer skills – Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Reservations/catering/event software programs, preferably Gather and OpenTable
  • Excellent customer service

COMPENSATION:

Proposed commission earning potential (in addition to salary) 3.00%-6.5% of sales performance.
