PACE Compliance Analyst I
Position Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the PACE Compliance Manager, the Compliance Analyst I supports compliance initiatives for San Diego PACE. The Compliance Analyst I is responsible for facilitating Compliance Program tasks, researching & translating regulatory requirements, and investigating & mitigating non-compliance activities. The staff will work closely with PACE management on compliance issues and assist with resolving immediate needs as applicable.
- This position may need to travel to designated San Diego PACE facility locations and/or San Diego PACE contractor sites to assist with compliance initiatives.
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Under the direct supervision of the PACE Compliance Manager, the Compliance Analyst I will facilitate PACE’s Compliance Program and tracking associated compliance activities.
- Supports regulatory compliance audit preparation, including health center site visits.
- Facilitates internal and external audit initiatives.
- Facilitates compliance oversight efforts related to contractors, including conducting onsite or virtual contractor site visits and administering Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) as directed by management.
- Investigates and analyzes compliance issues.
- Researches and translates legal and regulatory requirements/ issues into terms readily understood by management, line, and clinical personnel. PC, standard software, email, and internet-based legal and regulatory research are required.
- Ability to respond to questions with logic, clarity, calmness, and authority, leading to the desired support of actions by others.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Requires well-developed skills in meeting timeliness, flexibility, and attention-to-detail.
- Strong organizational skills.

- Demonstrated skills in verbal communication and listening. Excellent writing skills.
- Assist the compliance team in developing and supporting an ethical culture at SYHealth, including increasing awareness of compliance issues among management and employees and encouraging a culture where employees can raise concerns without fear of retaliation.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with strict and competing deadlines.
- Identify and maintain the organization's information privacy policies and procedures.
- Performs other regulatory compliance activities and monitoring initiatives as assigned by PACE Compliance Manager.
- Performs all other duties as assigned or requested.
Job Requirements:
Education Required (Minimum level of education):
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred
Experience Required (Minimum level of experience):
- 1 or more years of experience performing compliance duties, preferably in a healthcare compliance program.
- Minimum one year of experience in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in Microsoft PowerPoint presentations.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
- This is a regular, full-time position.
- Flexibility in schedule to meet project deadlines.
- Sitting/Standing/Walking/Lifting/Noisy.
- Sitting for extended periods of time.
- Sufficient dexterity to effectively operate a computer keyboard and other related peripherals.
- Occasional travel (up to ~30%) as required.
Universal Requirements:
Pre-employment requirements include an I-9, physical, positive background and reference check results, a complete application, new hire orientation, and pre-employment PPDs.
