What does a Warehouse Manager do at Swire Coca-Cola?
The Warehouse Manager role has responsibility for the overall warehouse operations of the Wilsonville, OR. VAF including the automated machinery and equipment. This role leads all aspects of the Wilsonville VAF operation including the warehouse budget, capital plan recommendation/business case development, personnel, shipping, receiving, truck loading, ordering, facility and equipment maintenance, GMP, security and inventory control. This leader places safety as our number one priority along with customer service and fiscal control of operational expenses. This leader ensure the timely maintenance of the autopick machinery and equipment along with spare parts management controls. This role also has strategic responsibility to assess and develop business cases to support the future capability journey of the autopick machinery. This leader is responsible for developing the team of leaders and continuing to build a bench of continuity.
Responsibilities:
- Develop leadership talent and participate in organization structure design to facilitate the efficiency of teams and processes. Support, interview, hire, train/develop employees. Assign and direct work. Appraise performance, reward and discipline employees. Address complaints and resolve problems. Foster employee morale
- Ensure key business indicators are met in support of sales centers objectives while managing operational expenses effectively
- Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed and that the warehouse operates in accordance with OSHA standards.
- Foster and support lean systems/processes implementation to drive operational effectiveness
- Long-term planning – Partner with Supply Chain Director of Engineering & Infrastructure to develop multi-year capital investment plan to improve the operational effectiveness and reliability of autopick machinery and equipment
- Establish cadence with automated case pick stakeholders to ensure maximization of system capabilities all in support of meeting operational needs
- Execute timely against product supply plans to ensure Swire internal sales centers as well as NTS bottler customers are provided with service on-time, in-full
Requirements:
- College degree in business or industrial engineering preferred
- High School Diploma (or GED) required
- 4+ years warehouse leadership experience required
- 2+ years experience in supply planning required
- Experience with Voice Pick / Auto Pick systems
- Experience with automated case picking
- Supply Chain knowledge & Inventory Control knowledge
- Inventory Management experience required
- Knowledge of Lean systems/processes
- Knowledge of OSHA and safety requirements
