Permit Coordinator
A Day in the life
A day in the life of a Permit Coordinator is a blend of detailed coordination and efficient time and process management. You will begin by processing timely applications for building permits, ensuring that all necessary documents are accurately submitted and tracked. Managing responses to comments from permit applications and handling re-submittals are key parts of your role, requiring clear communication and meticulous follow-up. You will also be responsible for paying all necessary fees and obtaining building permits, ensuring that process flow permit trackers are always up to date. Working primarily from the office, with one day a week remote, you will occasionally travel to different jurisdictions to hand-deliver documentation and establish relationships that help move permits through the system efficiently and quickly. Your efforts ensure that all submissions, from architectural plans to sales and construction trailer permits, meet company objectives and local requirements, all while maintaining professionalism in every interaction.
