Certified Payroll Reporting Specialist

JOB SUMMARY:  

Our payroll specialists oversee all aspects of the SCA payroll.  As a Payroll Specialist, you will handle myriad tasks, from collecting bank and direct deposit information to handling paper checks for employees, from maintaining accurate records to keeping up on taxation and much more.  To be successful, you need strong past payroll experience, take initiative and be assertive when needed.  We are looking for someone who will make process and policy suggestions when an improvement possibility is seen.  

Office Location: 4141 Rockside Road Suite 100 Seven Hills, Ohio 44131

Shift: Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm 

Pay Rate: $20.25 - $25.25/hour *based on experience

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

• Processing of weekly/hourly payroll (1900 employees)  
• 10-15% of payroll us union based.  
• Handling garnishments, wage orders, deductions  
• HR inbox/phone line for employees – assisting with payroll questions.  
• Payroll tax assistance  
• Approving of automated files sent by field managers.  
• Off Cycle Payroll adjustments/discrepancies  
• Some additional administrative duties   

 JOB REQUIREMENTS  

• Experience or knowledge of Prevailing Wage, Union Payroll and Certified Payroll, preferred
• Some Payroll knowledge  
• Preferred experience with Payroll Software – Ceridian Dayforce   
• Teamwork  
• Adaptable/Flexible  
• Customer service skills – be a resource to the employees in the field who have questions.
