Packaging Associate (Night Shift)

PURPOSE OF ROLE:

Primarily responsible for assisting Packaging Operator on all packaging line activities, and any other duties assigned by Packaging Lead. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

·        Work in a safe manner and follow all company rules and policies concerning safety and PPE.

·        Ensure that you have a productive, safe, clean, and efficient work environment.

·        Assist in performance of required clean down duties in between packaging assignments.

·        Report any visual damages or deficiencies to Packaging Operator and/or Packaging Lead

·        Use a forklift to move product from packaging line and/or into a bay location

·        Accurately fill out any required paperwork for a production run

·        Execute assignments in an accurate, timely, and safe manner

·        Identify damages and quality deficiencies

·        Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Packaging Lead

 

 

 

KNOWLEDGE / QUALIFICATONS / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

·        Minimum 1 year experience in a warehouse environment.

·        Good math, language, and reading skills

·        Knowledge of proper PPE requirements

·        Considerate and respectful to coworkers

·        Good math, language, and reading skills

·        Able to follow instructions given for daily tasks

 

 

                                                                                                                                         

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma/GED

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• A variety of standing, sitting and walking throughout the day

• Regularly sitting on a powered industrial truck

• Frequently lift up to 55 lbs. and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot and stand for long periods of time.

• Occasional climbing of ladders

• Use of basic warehouse equipment

• Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season
