Regional Sales Manager – Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Resin, Latin America
The Regional Sales Manager for Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Resin in Latin America will be responsible for driving sales growth, profitability, and market expansion by leveraging the sales teams from other business divisions within the organization. This role involves developing and executing sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability goals while expanding the company’s market presence. This role requires strong leadership, motivational skills, and the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-divisional sales personnel who do not report directly to the manager. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the PVC resin market and a proven ability to achieve results through indirect leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy & Leadership: Develop and execute sales strategies to meet revenue, volume, and profit targets for the PVC business in Latin America. Collaborate with and inspire cross-divisional sales teams to prioritize and achieve PVC sales goals.
- Influence & Collaboration: Build strong relationships across divisions, provide training and resources to enhance PVC sales expertise, and act as a liaison to align goals and communication.
- Customer Relationship Management: Support key accounts, engage directly with strategic customers, and provide insights to strengthen partnerships and drive growth.
- Market Expertise & Analysis: Monitor market trends, analyze competition, and provide insights to adjust strategies. Report on performance and collaborate with product management to align offerings with market needs.
- Operational Excellence: Coordinate with supply chain and logistics teams for smooth delivery, ensure competitive pricing strategies, and analyze sales performance for improvements.
- Representation & Advocacy: Represent the PVC business unit in customer meetings and advocate for its priorities and resources within the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
- 7+ years of experience in sales, preferably in the plastics or PVC resin industry.
- Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional or cross-divisional teams without direct reporting lines.
- Strong understanding of the Latin American market and its dynamics.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Fluency in Spanish and English is required.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the region.
