Human Resources Generalist - Bilingual
Essence of the role (Role’s Purpose):
Located in our Farmingdale, NY facilities, the HR Generalist will be responsible for direct support to the on-site Human Resource Business Partner and the associates. Responsibilities include face to face interaction with the facility associates, problem solving as well as supporting the department’s overall HR needs. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, and present professionally in both verbal and written communications.
Recipe for Success (Responsibilities):
• Provide direct HR support to a 24/5 manufacturing facility, which sometimes requires non-business hours.
• Conduct New Hire Orientation
• Support policy administration
• Assist with on-site training such as anti-harassment and benefit education
• Serve as first point of contact at the facility to assist associates with needs such as benefit related questions, accessing HR systems, and understanding policies, etc.
• Assist with Associate engagement activities
• Assist in the disciplinary process
• Participate in HR department projects, administrative duties and other responsibilities as required
Ingredients Required (Qualifications):
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish required
• Effective oral and written abilities; ability to conduct a professional presentation for varying sized groups
• 2+ year of general HR experience
• 2+ year of working with an HRIS
• High level of detail and organization with the ability to work independently
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
• Must be tech-savvy with a willingness to learn any technical equipment or systems
• Flexibility to travel to other locations on Long Island (Ronkonkoma/Bohemia)
• Ability to occasionally travel out of state/overnight a plus
• Flexibility to work off hours
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
