Cost Accountant

Essence of the role (Role’s Purpose):
    A Long Island based organization is looking for a Cost Accountant to join its growing team.  This is a great opportunity to be part of a growing, fast-paced environment as an industry leader.
   

Recipe for Success (Responsibilities):
•    Assist in month-end and quarterly closings.
•    Assist in cycle count observations with external auditors.
•    Assist in Roll forward all inventory types monthly.
•    Assist in COGS reconciliation.
•    Inventory reserve analysis.
•    Assist in audits.
•    Co-packer and co-manufacturer reconciliation.
•    PPV analysis.
•    Analyze manufacturing costs.
•    Review inventory transactions.
•    Prepare and analyze cost reports.
•    Responsible for maintaining the inventory package and supporting schedules.
•    Additional duties as assigned

Ingredients Required (Qualifications):
•    Minimum of 3 years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing.
•    Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including knowledge of Pivot Tables and accounting software (NetSuite).
•    Attention to detail.
•    Good organizational skills.
•    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•    Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
