Job Summary:
The Senior Program Manager will serve as an integral part of the Information Technology department and will work closely with our CIO, on key cross-functional and strategic initiatives critical to PAQ Inc.'s long-term success.
Essential Functions of the Position:
- Operating the Program Management Office (PMO):Setting best practice methodology, planning, measurement, and project oversight for all projects and cross-functional/end-to-end programs across the organization.
- Project Oversight:Monitoring the progress of individual projects within the program, identifying potential risks and issues, and coordinating necessary corrective actions.
- Budget Management:Developing and managing the program budget, tracking expenditures and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Stakeholder Management:Communicating program status updates to key stakeholders, including senior leadership, project teams, and external partners.
- Team Collaboration:Facilitating collaboration between different project teams, ensuring smooth communication and alignment across the program.
- Performance Metrics:Defining and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure program success.
- Risk Management:Identifying potential risks within the program, developing mitigation strategies, and proactively addressing issues.
- Change Management:Adapting the program plan as needed to respond to changing business needs or external factors, including end user readiness for new systems and innovation.
Knowledge:
- Project Management Expertise: Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools, including Microsoft M365, Project, Teams, and Jira
Skills/Abilities:
- Leadership Skills: Ability to motivate and guide teams, manage conflicts, and build consensus
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication to effectively convey complex information to various stakeholders
- Analytical Skills: Ability to gather data, analyze program performance, and identify areas for improvement
- Strategic Thinking: Capability to develop and implement comprehensive program strategies aligned with organizational goals
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required in relevant discipline, Master’s Degree preferred. Appropriate work experience considered.
- Minimum of 10+ Years experience involving Project and Program Management roles for Enterprise-sized organizations, including the full cycle of project methodologies from planning to start to completion.
- Must have experience delivering technology projects and programs; additional project type experience a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- A significant portion of the day is spent sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must handle paperwork, files, and documents, including lifting, carrying, and organizing paperwork as needed.
- Proficiency in using standard office equipment such as photocopiers, scanners, fax machines, and printers.
- Ability to perform tasks that require fine motor skills, such as using a keyboard, writing, or handling small objects.
Work Conditions:
- Work Hours: Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. with some flexibility, as approved by manager.
- Environment: Indoor, climate-controlled, with adequate lighting and ventilation.
- Primary Work Stations: Dedicated workspace designed to minimize distractions, allowing for concentration on tasks.
- Dress Code: Business casual attire, flexible for more formal or relaxed dress depending on company events or meetings.
- Exposure: May be exposed to electrical and lighting hazards.
- Noise Level: Usually low to moderate.
- Interaction: Constant interaction with team members in an office environment.
