Marketing Manager
Responsible for the management of our Ad/Creative agency relationship and the primary liaison between on property marketing needs and the firm. This includes the coordination of printed marketing collaterals, advertising campaigns, advertorial and various miscellaneous marketing initiatives. This position works within a marketing team to ensure deadlines are met and brand imaging is upheld at the highest level. Work with Internet Marketing & Social Media Manager to ensure a team approach to all marketing initiatives. Manage in house legacy programs such as Serenity Season and other promotions throughout the year. Position is also responsible for the daily communication and collaboration with internal departments.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have previous hospitality or like industry experience in marketing communications.

Creative thinking and ability to strategize and exercise discretion and independent judgment is critical

BA in marketing, new media, graphic design, communications preferred

Extensive knowledge in Public Relations and Media Management

Strong marketing and communication skills

Must possess very good technological skills

Strong English and grammatical skills

Experience with traditional and online/social media

Eagerness to build relationships with clients, guests, customers, and associates

Daily basis work with and communicate actively with the Creative firm, team members and the SVP of S&M..

Authorize media purchases and ad / various marketing development materials as directed by supervisor keeping within monthly and annual marketing budget.

Be well-connected with the local community and active ambassador of the Ojai Valley Inn.

Responsible to educate and communicate on a regular basis to the management team on all marketing and promotional activities throughout the year.

Participate in the weekly marketing meeting and coordinate marketing responsibilities.

Tour travel writers on a regular basis and interview with media representing the resort with high standards.

Achieve performance objectives as outlined within the department.
15. Answer all phone calls promptly with a professional, polite, upbeat and helpful demeanor.

Ensure that all outgoing correspondence is accurate and presentable and represents OVIstyle and image standards.

Assist with special projects as requested by SVP.

Maintain a friendly, caring and helpful attitude with clients, as well as other hotel personnel.

Keep informed as to the daily resort activities and functions.

Participate in scheduled meetings as requested.

Work with the team and SVP on maintaining a log of all promotions and events that occur at the resort and distributing then to all departments.

Communicate with Central reservations on any promotions or events that occur in the resort so that they are informed for the reservation process.

May be required to work some evenings or weekends.
The salary for this position is $100,000. This is the pay for this position that the employer reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience, type and of size of prior property experience, location, and education.
