Tug Captain

The Master shall be responsible for the overall command of the unit, its operation and
persons on board. The Master has the ultimate authority onboard for all matters affecting the safety and security of the unit, the crew, the cargo and the environment and shall take all necessary steps and precautions to prevent and mitigate the consequences of any accidents and incidents that may affect the unit. The Master has the complete overriding authority and responsibility to take whatever measures necessary to ensure the safe, pollution free and efficient operation of the unit and to request the Company’s assistance as may be necessary.
