Salary Range: $18.22 - $27.00 per hour.
Responsible to: Dental Assistant Team Leader
Job Summary: The Dental Assistant assist dentists in the treatment of patients and the completion of dental procedure.
Essential Job Duties:
1) Assistance in the completion of dental procedures and maintenance of dental operatory in a manner consistent with practice standard and infection control requirements.
2) Patient Care including to be not limited to medical histories, charting, education.
3) Any duties covered under the NYS Dental Practice Act permissible under licensure.
Skills:
• Computer skills in email, Microsoft Office, Dental software
• Competency in dental assisting skills and infection control procedures
• Working knowledge of DOH regulations
• Good interpersonal skills
Education:
Minimum Degree Required:
• High School Diploma/GED
Experience:
Minimum Experience Required: 6 months which can include DA training program
Required License/Registration/ Certification:
• Certified Dental Assistant (Certification in Dental Assisting and meeting the requirement for Dental Licensure in NYS)
