St. Ann’s Community is currently looking for a full time universal support worker for both the Irondequoit and Webster Campuses. The primary purpose of this position is to provide Facility and concierge services across St. Ann's Community.

Job Description:

  • Performs duties such as, vacuuming rugs, moving furniture
  • Sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning fixtures and supplying paper goods to public lavatories
  • Emptying outside trash containers
  • Separating and removing trash from trash rooms for compacting and disposal
  • Cleaning Stairwells and high dusting in all areas
  • Assists in performing minor maintenance
  • Assists in apartment cleaning as needed per guidelines established
  • Pick up dirty linen and clothing in laundry bags from the laundry chutes and transport them to the laundry department for sorting. Weight of bags ranging from 25 – 50 lbs.
  • Sorting dirty linen and clothing by item (ie. towels, washcloths, pants, underwear, blankets, etc.)
  • Weighing of dirty linen and clothing prior to washing.
  • Loading and unloading of the items into and out of the washers and dryers.
  • Distribute the dried items to the appropriate area in the laundry for further production.
  • Sort, inspect and fold underwear, socks, etc. in preparation for distribution.
  • Acts as information center for residents.
  • Serves as liaison between residents and other departments.
  • Maintains an informational “concierge” book to help residents with services information available in the area
  • Operates quickly and professionally a multi-line phone.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Facilities Manager or Environmental Services Asst. Lead

 

Candidate Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED with 6 months experience in maintenance
  • Must have reliable transportation
