SLOTS PM TECHNICIAN - CB & VR - FULL-TIME - VARIED SHIFT

STARTING RATE:  $15.00                                      

MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT:  21 years old                      

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:  State of Nevada Gaming Permit, Valid Driver License, and D.M.V. Driving History Printout (no more than 30 days old).

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for the installation, preventative maintenance, and repair of slot machines and gaming equipment.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous experience is not required for this position.  Must be familiar with electrical and mechanical components.  Must have a general understanding of computer programs, including all Microsoft Window applications.  A self-starter who can work independently and deal with guests and coworkers in a professional and courteous manner in all situations.  Attention to detail while making repairs is a must.  Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English, verbally, in writing, or by other acceptable means.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

1. Conduct general maintenance and cleaning of all gaming machines and associated devices/equipment.

2. Conduct minor repairs and/or replacement of parts on gaming machines and associated equipment, including, but not limited to, clearing jams and slot machine malfunctions.

3. Conduct general maintenance, cleaning, repairs and/or replacement of electrical and mechanical components of gaming machines and associated devices/equipment.

4. Assist in the installation, deletion, conversion, and movement of gaming machines.

5. Other job related duties as assigned and instructed by management.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

The work requires considerable and strenuous physical exertion such as frequent walking on uneven surfaces, climbing of tall ladders, lifting heavy objects over 50 pounds and pushing/pulling heavy objects over 150 pounds, crouching or crawling in restricted areas.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts requiring special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, carts, or machines, or with contagious diseases or irritant chemicals.  Employees may be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, gowns, coats, boots, goggles, gloves, or shields.  The work environment involves exposure to secondhand smoke in a casino.  This is a 24 hour/7 day a week work environment with varying shifts including weekends and holidays.
