Field Service Operations - Intern
Summary:
Overhaul of parts in our OEM workshop, general mechanics, welding,
machining and assistance to Service/Superintendent Engineer on field service
assignments.

Responsibilities:
Perform
maintenance, operational or overhaul tasks onboard vessels under the direction
of a Service or Superintendent engineer.
Carry out overhaul, inspection, and repair under direction of service
manager/workshop supervisor.
Identify and perform maintenance tasks on workshop equipment.
Assist Engineers in all duties related to:
Diesel engines
Turbochargers
Propeller
Transmission Systems
Other products designed or produced by the company.
Attends on smaller routine jobs as per present and future skills, both
working alone or as a foreman for a group.
Assist in maintaining good business relationships and communication with
customers by performing work to a high quality and safety standard, maintain a
professional appearance and communicating with customers under the direction of
a Superintendent or Service Engineer.
Embrace and assist in developing company safety and quality processes.
Understand the function, use and maintenance of measuring tools used in
the various processes and actively engaged in development of skills thereof.
Be ready, willing and able to travel with little or no advance
notification.
Have the ability to adapt to and perform other
duties as assigned by applicable manager/supervisor.
Required
Education:
Diploma as Technician , Graduate Technician
Comparable vocational education with longtime related work experience
or equivalent
Required Experience:
Sufficient experience
necessary to demonstrate understanding of mechanical systems and operations is
required. Experience with and
theoretical/practical knowledge of diesel engines, turbochargers, pumps and
cylinder heads is desired.
