This role will be fully in-office and based out of Houston, TX.
Job Overview: Loomis is seeking a Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst to join our new SOC Department. This position will report to the SOC Director. It will be responsible for monitoring the Security and Safety of Loomis property nationwide utilizing various tools, including CCTV and data mining software. Responsibilities will grow over time, and a successful candidate will actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the SOC, including adapting to emergency response functions.
Accountabilities:
- Collaborates with team members to enable the efficient functioning of the SOC operations.
- Monitors branch operations live for security and safety concerns, as well as pre-recorded activity for compliance with key security functions.
- Acts as a contact during incidents and communicates issues as appropriate to key stakeholders.
- Writes reports on the deficiencies identified during monitoring, including corrective action requirements.
- Performs intelligence gathering using data mining software to identify emerging threats potentially affecting company operations.
- Ensures timely delivery of intelligence reports to appropriate stakeholders.
- Participates in the development of SOC responsibilities and added functions undertaken by the department.
Requirements:
- Ability to effectively work in a fast-paced environment and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work efficiently with a team or independently with little need for oversight.
- 3-5 years of security management experience with compliance and internal controls knowledge.
- Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office Applications.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have CCTV or other video systems experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or other related field from an accredited university or equivalent professional work experience in lieu of degree desired.
- Bi-lingual in Spanish desired.
- Alarm monitoring or other emergency management experience desired.
- Experience in threat intelligence and working with incident response tools is desired.
- Ability to successfully pass a thorough background check and drug screening.
