Coin Processor Lead
General Function
Coin Processor Leads work as a team leader and is responsible for assisting CMS Supervisors and CMS Managers in the daily operations of the Coin Department.
Responsibilities:
In addition to all Coin Processor responsibilities, the Coin Processor Lead position will require the following:
- Ensuring that daily tasks and periodical commitments are completed accurately and by Loomis standards
- Assisting in supervising, training, and coaching new hires, as well as current employees
- Maintaining the security of liability through monitoring and enforcement of policies and procedures
- Communicating immediately any discrepancies and issues to management
- Balancing coin inventories per Loomis and customer requirements
- Conducting research per Loomis and customer requests
- Maintaining proper paperwork and files
- Cooperating with branch management regarding implementing changes and motivating employees
Requirements:
- Proficiency in processing procedures
- Ability to manage multiple assignments
- Knowledge of coin operations, policies, and procedures
- Understanding of CMS operations and Glory system a plus
- Good leadership skills and a positive attitude
- Good organization and communication skills
- Ability to train and coach other employees
- Open schedule, including varying start times, if necessary
Performance of the above functions requires:
- Unrestricted ability to stand, walk, bend, squat
- Ability to repetitiously lift bags of coin weighing from 30-55 lbs. from ground level to a height of at least 4 feet, cut them open, and pour the contents into a machine hopper, approximately one bag per minute
- Ability to lift boxes of the rolled coin (weighing as much as 12-25 lbs.) off the conveyor belt and position on a rack on level from 6 inches to 3 feet off floor level
- Ability to count, add and subtract; record numbers and signatures; read weights and distinguish coin denominations
- Ability to perform simple tasks using computer applications (email, data entry)
- Written and verbal English sufficient to communicate with Loomis personnel and customers/vendors
- Forklift certification
Full-time work consists of an average of 40 hours per week performed in 8-hour or split shifts on five of seven days.
Essential Functions/Job Qualifications
As part of the qualification process for the Coin Processor Lead position, a Human Performance Evaluation (HPE) is required. This evaluation requires the successful completion of testing in the following areas:
Lift:
- 25lbs vertical lift from 10 inches to 66 inches from the floor (1X)
Lift-Carry:
- 18lbs vertical lift from 1 inch to 44 inches from the floor, and horizontally transfer 15ft (4X)
- 18lbs vertical lift from 10 inches to 36 inches from the floor and horizontally transfer 300ft (1X)
- 50lbs vertical lift from 10 inches to 36 inches from the floor and horizontally transfer 2ft (2X)
Push-Pull:
- Horizontally transfer 47lbs of force on a sled (single, non-dominant arm), a distance of 1ft (2X)
Repetitive Coupling:
- Squeeze Jamar Hand Dynamometer requiring forces up to 30lbs / both right & left hands (4X each)
