MANUFACTURING SUPERVISOR II-MC39100 MANUFACTURING MGT
PRIMARY SUMMARY:
Schedules work for the Factory. Monitors technique, quality, and quantity of production. Troubleshoots and assists employees with machining problems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Prioritize and schedule production processes.
• Supervises and assesses capacity issues, and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals and objectives.
• Responsible for directing and managing Hourly Manufacturing Personnel; provide the necessary tools, knowledge, and support to ensure success in their job.
• Schedules and expedites the manufacturing of products to meet deadlines.
• Assigns and schedules work to production employees.
• Utilizes SPC and other tools within the system to manage the factory quality.
• Ensure adequate training for job related functions.
• Monitors tools, material, quality, and production.
• Troubleshoots assembly and manufacturing problems and determines corrective action when necessary.
• Ensures employees observe all safety regulations.
• Observes equipment usage and employee quality of work and takes corrective action when necessary.
• Performs personnel functions, performance evaluations and disciplinary action.
• Ensures all employees placed under their assigned area of responsibility, or all persons who may be affected by equipment or processes placed under their responsibility are complying with the rules and regulations set forth by Federal, Local and State government, and LISI Aerospace policies, procedures and plans.
• All employees are responsible for attending all training provided and for adhering to all HSE procedures, policies, and plans, conforming to reporting requirements, and safe operating procedures at all times.
• All employees are required to bring any known or suspected nonconformance for all company procedures or legal requirements to management’s attention immediately.
• Continually seek opportunities to improve our HSE performance by establishing objectives and targets, measuring progress, and reporting our results.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervises Hourly Manufacturing Personnel overall direction, coordination and evaluation of planning and scheduling functions. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
• Associate’s degree (A.A.) and four years professional experience or Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) and two years of related experience preferred or Minimum 5 years management experience in manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic mainframe computer systems and familiarity with Spreadsheet and Word Processing software.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract concrete variables.
Certificates, licenses, registrations
Evidence of “US person” is required under ITAR.
