Therma LLC has an immediate need for a Quality Control Coordinator/Mechanical Assembly Examiner. This position is responsible for assisting the Quality Control Manager and project management with material receiving & examinations, verifying mechanical assemblies, documentation and communication. Previous experience working in the Construction industry is highly desired.
About the Role
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities span a broad spectrum, covering all the areas of quality control.
- Ability to maintain a strong relationship with PM’s, foremen and QC Examiners.
- Assist in coordinating delivery of materials from vendors.
- Assist in coordinating delivery of completed prefabrications to customers.
- Ability to assist in managing: schedule, submittals, RFI’s & change orders and monitor subcontractors.
- Pre- and post-construction administrative duties.
• Submittal Management
- Schedule Updates
- Meeting preparation and participation for all relevant project meetings.
- Project Reporting Management
- Perform administrative and office support activities for the quality management team.
- Assist with the development of project documentation.
- Assist with project documentation and Construction Drawings.
- Track project issues and communicate with the quality manager.
- Prepare project closeout documents and internal work documents.
- Order and track material.
- Verification of materials received.
- Communicate with Foremen, PMs to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries.
- Prepare shipping documents.
- Prepare purchase orders and ensure approval from Project Managers.
Qualifications:
- Experience working in the industrial and commercial construction industry preferred.
- Hands-on experience in the mechanical field is strongly desired.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, (Outlook, Word and Excel.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must.
