Quality Engineer
Kurt Manufacturing is adding a Quality Engineer to our Hydraulics Division in Lyman, Nebraska. This position is responsible for developing and implementing quality assurance and control systems, providing guidance to employees, and ensuring employees are properly trained on the use of tools, equipment, and procedures.
Compensation
The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $72,500 to $93,000. The offered starting pay will be based on a combination of factors, which include knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, and education.
**This position is eligible for relocation assistance.**
Essential Functions
- Plans and directs activities concerned with development, application and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials and products.
- Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation, utilizing knowledge in engineering fields such as chemical, electrical or mechanical.
- Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instruction for recording, evaluation and reporting quality and reliability data.
- Establishes program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.
- Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility.

Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED
- 4 years of related experience
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 10 years of related experience
- ASQ Certification
- APICS Certification
