Sales & Marketing Product Manager (Manufacturing) - Greeneville, TN

Job Purpose/Scope:

Reporting to the Director of Business Development the Sales & Marketing Product Manager is responsible for driving revenue and margin growth across the Industrial and Corrosion Prevention segments, while developing new markets and channels for expansion. Leads sales initiatives and product development efforts, providing technical expertise directly to clients.  ** Please note:  this is not an IT role, but a sales and marketing product manager role for a manufacturing company (industrial and cathodic).

 

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Generates sales leads directly and through Sales Channel Partners.
  • Prepares costing, quoting, and submittals to clients, tracking opportunities through to order generation.
  • Reports on the pipeline and financial aspects for both Industrial and Cathodic sales.
  • Leads in the qualification and development of new segments and products for both Industrial and Cathodic.
  • Aligns market opportunities with Artazn capabilities by interfacing with development personnel and external segment experts.
  • Develops and fosters relationships and business agreements with Sales Channel Partners and Key Suppliers / Sub-Contractors for both segments.
  • Assesses market potential and shifts to identify new opportunities or threats.
  • Support the Customer Service Coordinator (CSR).

 

Secondary Essential Functions

  • Monitors market developments and trends through external partnerships, periodicals, and technical societies.
  • Collaborates with Marketing to improve reach for both Industrial and Cathodic products.
  • Trains and assists coordinators and team members across both segments.
  • Identifies acquisition opportunities for product expansion.
  • Provides technical expertise to all departments within both segments.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

 

Knowledge/Experience/Skills: 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • A minimum of five years practical work experience in sales/marketing in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with customer relations and resolving both practical and financial issues.
  • Strong financial analytics skills.
  • Marketing experience/knowledge in major business operating systems in plant environment.
  • Working experience with customer relations and resolving practical and financial issues between the customer and the organization.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting technical and financial information.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating across levels of the organization.
  • Problem-solving and creativity in developing new products / processes.
  • Leadership skills to direct and motivate team members.

 

Specialized Working conditions and % Travel:

Working Conditions:  80% sitting:  computer, meetings, on phone.  Constant multi-tasking and

interaction with a variety of internal and external contacts.

Travel: 30% - 40% (including international – Passport required)
