Position Summary:
The Product Marketing Strategist plays a critical role in driving the success of our IMG Academy+ developmental coaching products. This role requires a data-driven, creative, and customer-focused individual who can help develop and execute winning go-to-market strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the subscription business model and experience translating customer insights into compelling marketing messages and campaigns, with a true passion for sports and youth development.
Position Responsibilities:
- Help develop and execute go-to-market strategies: Oversee execution for promoting and supporting the bundling of products across multiple channels, audiences and platforms
- Develop and execute go-to-market plans for new programming launches and existing product enhancements, including pricing, packaging, and positioning strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, sales, social, web, design, automation, etc.) to ensure alignment and successful product launches.
- Develop and manage customer lifecycle marketing campaigns: Design and execute customer onboarding programs to maximize customer engagement and retention.
- Develop and implement email marketing campaigns, in-app messaging, and other communication channels to nurture customer relationships and drive product adoption.
- Analyze customer data to identify churn risks and develop targeted retention strategies.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
- Conduct market research and customer surveys to gather insights and inform product development and marketing decisions.
- Analyze customer data and market trends to identify new opportunities and optimize existing marketing campaigns.
- Develop compelling product messaging and positioning: Craft compelling product narratives and value propositions that resonate with target audiences.
- Develop key messaging and positioning for different customer segments and marketing channels.
- Collaborate with the content team to create high-quality marketing materials (website copy, brochures, case studies, etc.).
- Track, measure, and analyze campaign performance: Track key metrics (e.g., engagement, most popular content, customer lifetime value, churn rate, etc.) and analyze campaign performance.
- Identify areas for improvement and make data-driven recommendations to optimize marketing campaigns.
- Prepare regular reports on campaign performance and key marketing metrics.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in product marketing, preferably with experience in subscription-based businesses.
- Strong understanding of the subscription business model, including customer lifecycle management and churn mitigation strategies.
- Experience with data analysis and using data to inform marketing decisions.
- Experience finding, vetting and managing external marketing resources (freelancers, agencies, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in marketing automation platforms (preferably Salesforce Marketing Cloud) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
- Experience with A/B testing and other marketing experimentation methodologies.
- A strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with the ability to think creatively and strategically.
- Passion for technology and a strong interest in the youth sports space
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with content marketing and social media marketing.
- Experience with customer success or support functions.
