The Human Resources Business Partner serves as a strategic partner to the business unit leaders within the organization. The HRBP works to align human resources strategies with business goals and objectives. They are responsible for providing HR support, guidance, and expertise to ensure the organization’s workforce is effectively managed, developed, and engaged. The position also formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and team members that reflects and supports the business objectives of the organization.

Position Responsibilities

  • Partner on day-to-day operational priorities and objectives across all HR functions including HR Operations, Total Rewards, Recruiting, Learning & Organizational Development, DE&I, Employee Relations and Compliance to best serve the business
  • Collaborate with the business unit leaders to understand their goals, challenges, and workforce needs, and develop HR strategies that align with the organization’s overall business objectives
  • Participate in the recruitment and selection process, including workforce planning, job postings, interviews, and candidate assessment to ensure the organization has the right talent in place
  • Partner with the Employee Relations Manager to manage and resolve team member relation issues, including conflict resolution, performance management, disciplinary actions, and investigations, while ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies
  • Assist in the development and implementation of performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, feedback, and improvement plans
  • Identify training and development needs within the business and collaborate with the Learning and Organizational Development team to design and deliver relevant training programs
  • Work closely with management and team members to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
  • Analyze HR data and metrics to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and use data to make informed and strategic HR decisions
  • Provide guidance and input on business unit organizational structures, workforce planning and succession planning
  • Promote a positive workplace culture and engagement through initiatives such as team member surveys, feedback mechanisms, and recognition programs
  • Ensure compliance with all State and Federal laws related to day-to-day management of team members, mitigating legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with the legal department as needed
  • Ensure that HR policies and procedures are communicated, understood, and adhered to within the business units
  • Support organizational change initiatives, including restructures, mergers, and acquisitions, by helping manage the impact on team members and facilitating effective transitions
  • Assist international team members with expatriate assignments and related HR matters
  • Ensure reports and records are maintained with a commitment to ensure confidentiality
  • Work with staff to maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant years of experience
  • 5 years of experience in HR roles, with a focus on HRBP responsibilities
  • Proficient in HRIS, Payroll systems or related HR software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations
  • Ability to build strong relationships and influence at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Change management expertise
  • Ability to work with confidential information and maintain confidentiality
  • Desire to work collaboratively with colleagues

 

Preferred Skills:

  • SHRM or PHR certification preferred
  • Bilingual preferred
