Position Summary:
As the Internal Communications Manager you will work directly with VP, Communications to develop and execute multichannel internal communications plans that prioritize a timely, transparent, and engaging flow of communications to all team members.
Leveraging a soon-to-be-launched intranet, you will develop and deliver compelling content, manage internal messaging, and create communication strategies that foster collaboration and a strong company culture.
Position Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an internal communication strategy inclusive of a soon-to-be-launched intranet that aligns with IMG Academy’s overall goals and objectives
- Lead content creation and strategy for intranet, ensuring it serves as a central hub for company news, updates, and resources
- Lead strategies and programs to communicate People Operations strategic initiatives, fostering cohesive alignment around key initiatives within the team, integrating messages into broader strategic communications to deliver measurable results.
- Proactively identify and address communication gaps and opportunities within the company
- Write, edit and proofread internal communications, ensuring alignment with AP style and company tone of voice
- Deliver internal communications to a global, in-person and remote audience
- Collaborate with various departments and leaders to gather information and ensure consistent messaging across the organization
- Create engaging and impactful communication materials for weekly newsletters and quarterly all-company town halls
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of internal communications through regular surveys and make recommendations for improvement
- Ensure timely and accurate dissemination of important company information and updates
- Serve as a liaison between different departments to facilitate effective communication and collaboration
- Provide guidance and support alongside VP, Communications to leaders on communication best practices and strategies
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in internal communications and make recommendations for implementation within the organization
- Other responsibilities as assigned
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethic codes
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Minimum five years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or a related field.
- Ability to collaborate, build relationships, and communicate positively and professionally with all internal and external constituents
- Proven experience writing and editing content in accordance with AP style
- Excellent organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail, to include anticipating needs and being proactive
- Displays high degree of professionalism in order to maintain confidential information, deal with people tactfully, and help establish strong relationships and positive communication
- Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel and Word
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience using an intranet as an internal communications medium
- Responsive, self-starter; takes initiative in resolving issues or concerns.
- Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines with changing priorities.
- Experience planning and delivering internal communications to a global and in person and remote audience
- Highly collaborative style with the ability to quickly develop trusted relationships with Communications, People Operations and global IMG Academy teams and team members
