Production Manager

V&S Galvanizing, LLC has over 100 years of experience in Hot Dip Galvanizing and we are the leader in the steel coating industry. Today we operate over 9 galvanizing plants in the U.S., featuring exceptional service to small fabricators as well as companies known worldwide.

Production Manager Summary:

We are seeking an energetic individual to fulfill the role of Production Manager.  This is full time position, 2^nd shift located at our Lebanon, PA facility, which currently has 70 production employees.

Successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all production and maintenance of the plant while promoting a culture of safety.

Responsibilities:

• Drive a culture of safety.
• Involved with production, maintenance, quality, shipping & receiving.
• Coordinates plant schedules through planning to ensure the total production objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost effective manner.
• Establishes and monitors overall plant performance for production and quality standards.
• Collect and review data to reduce inefficiencies and waste.
• Oversee work schedules to ensure coverage.
• Ensure that plant operates safely and in compliance with all company and federal/state codes and regulations.
• Recruit, train, and onboard new employees.
• Evaluate employees and give suggestions for improvement.
• Limited travel required.
• Other duties as directed by Operations Manager.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Management/Supervisory: 2 years (Preferred)
• Bachelor's Degree or Industrial Management Degree (Preferred)
• Production Scheduling
• Previous understanding of ISO 9001 quality standard.
• Knowledge of current health and safety regulations.
• Previous knowledge in manufacturing, operations, process design, systems, and quality.
• Ability to understand structural steel and fabrication drawings.
• Relentless determination and courage to make things happen; strong execution skills; results oriented.
• Self-motivated, desire to improve one's knowledge and skills on an ongoing basis
• Excellent communication and supervisory skills.
• Outstanding organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record for insurability
