A Day in the Life

The PRN Speech Language Therapist will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating individuals with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. This role is essential in helping our clients achieve their communication and developmental goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric care and a commitment to improving lives.

How This Position Contributes to our Mission

  • Conduct thorough evaluations to diagnose speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care to clients.
  • Provide education and support to families and caregivers to reinforce therapy at home.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions, evaluations, and progress.
  • Foster a trauma-informed, inclusive environment that reflects our organizational values.

Speech & Language Pathologist Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Current SLP licensure in Kentucky and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required.
  • Experience: Experience working with pediatric and medically complex populations preferred.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills; ability to work independently.
  • Commitment: Flexibility to provide PRN services as needed, including availability for varying shifts.
