Position: Patient Access Representative
Shift: Flexible, Monday - Friday, between 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Employment Type: Part-Time
A Day in the Life:
As a Patient Access Representative, your primary goal will be to ensure a safe, respectful, and positive experience for the children and families we serve. This role involves maintaining accurate client records, managing scheduling and demographic information, and delivering exceptional customer service, both in person and on the phone.
Patient Access Representative Responsibilities:
- Data Management: Input and verify client information, including insurance and authorization details, to ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Authorization Coordination: Track and manage authorizations for medically necessary services.
- Client Interaction: Deliver outstanding customer service in every interaction, making sure that clients feel valued and supported.
- Administrative Support: Perform clerical duties, such as processing records requests and maintaining organized client files.
- Collaborative Care: Participate in cross-departmental meetings to facilitate smooth client transitions and support case assignments.
Patient Access Representative Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in human services, healthcare, health information management, or information technology preferred.
- Experience: 1-3 years of office experience required, with prior work involving insurance verification or coordination preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in using computers and Microsoft Office applications.
- Communication and Teamwork: Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with team members.
- Organizational Skills: Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
