Position: Residential Treatment Coordinator
A Day in the Life:
You will be responsible for monitoring and supporting the individualized needs of children in our care and their families. Through regular communication with a multidisciplinary team, you will arrange services and ensure that all necessary documentation is complete and up to date. This role is critical in maintaining clear communication between all key parties—including residents, family members, approved support systems, clinical specialists, legal guardians, DCBS workers, and program staff—to ensure continuity of care and support for each child’s development.
Residential Treatment Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Intake Support: Participate in intake processes, manage documentation, schedule appointments, and ensure basic care needs are met.
- Treatment Planning: Coordinate with DCBS workers, clients, and families for assessment, treatment, and discharge planning.
- Record Management: Enter information into the client’s health records, report incidents, and obtain bed holds when needed.
- Plan Oversight: Review and monitor the client’s treatment plan progress, participate in monthly and quarterly case reviews.
Residential Treatment Coordinator Skills and Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Direct experience working with emotionally disturbed youth in a treatment or educational setting is highly preferred.
- Ability to interact with clients who may be resistant to instruction.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Team-oriented and adaptable to work harmoniously with various partners.
