So, what will you be doing all day? You would join our Business Sector as a Plumbing Design Engineer working on things like...

  • Performing calculations and designs basic to intermediate design systems with minimal supervision.
  • Performing research and makes recommendations as to the feasibility of systems or equipment. Evaluates products for their application.
  • Provides technical guidance to others when appropriate.
  • Collaborates on business development or pursuit activities.
  • Maintains proactive communication throughout the project cycle.
  • Assists in resolving conflicts involving owners, architects and contractors as needed.
  • Maintains knowledge and understanding of industry software, including Revit, Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Office Products. Acts as a resource for training or assisting others as needed.
  • Performs a limited range of project management responsibilities under the supervision of experienced managers. Asks questions when performing unfamiliar tasks.
  • May support or be responsible for project coordination activities such as managing emails, coordinating scope and schedule, attending client meetings, ensuring project quality, responding to client questions and coordinating project delivery.

 

We'd love for you to apply for this position if you...

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field of engineering preferred (ie: mechanical, electrical, fire protection or architectural) and 3 years of relevant experience, or 5 years of experience without degree required. Professional Engineering (PE) license may be counted toward 1 year of direct experience.
  • Intermediate knowledge and proficiency in engineering design, A&E industry, codes, design guides and standards required. Knowledge applicable to a range of practices, project or program types preferred.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam Revu required.
  • Can work independently when needed.
  • High technical aptitude: ability to learn, understand and utilize various systems and processes.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate with designers at all levels in a clear and concise manner.
  • Effective critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Team oriented and willingness and ability to function in a highly collaborative environment, in group projects and leading less experienced designers.

Preferred Qualifications…

  • Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.
  • Certified Plumbing Designer certification preferred.
  • Completion of FE exam, LEED and/or WELL accreditation preferred.
