So, what will you be doing all day? You would be joining our Walmart Sector as a BIM Technical Manager working on things like...

 

  • Teams with Sector Technical Director to align discipline-specific engineering approaches across sector, maintaining consistency with companywide quality strategies.
  • Proactively monitors technical quality within the sector, responding appropriately to areas of concern or options for improvement.
  • Provides feedback to Sector leadership to inform technical strategies of the sector.
  • Shares ongoing feedback to sector leadership regarding the performance quality of production staff.
  • Manages quality-assurance tools, processes, and databases, ensures judicious application of these resources.
  • Provides quality control for projects.
  • Tracks and reports on progress toward annual goals and priorities of their technical discipline in the Sector.
  • Serves as a technical resource/expert within the sector.
  • Oversees technical training and mentoring needs of the sector and provides ongoing mentoring to production teams within the sector.
  • Oversees and provides training specific to the newly hired staff within the sector.
  • Identifies, delegates, and executes process improvement strategies and tasks.
  • Teams across Sectors to align and maximize training efforts based on common needs from a company-wide perspective.
  • Participates in interviewing to evaluate technical proficiency of potential talent for the practice.
  • Keeps others well informed and prioritizes audiences, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Leads by example, challenges assumptions, and creates candid feedback loops.
  • Creates a sense of urgency to tackle problems and rewards responsiveness.
  • Recognizes opportunity for improvement, creating and supporting processes and feedback to improve results.
  • Maintains knowledge, skills, and abilities relevant to success throughout job functions.

 

We'd love for you to apply if you have...

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, science, or technology preferred. Relevant experience in leadership/management position will be considered in lieu of requisite education.
  • Eight (8+) or greater years of relevant experience, with a minimum of two (2+) years leadership/management experience, preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge in discipline of expertise and track record of technical excellence in such field.
  • Experience using Autodesk Construction Cloud, Tandem, Maximo, or similar applications.
  • Has a high-level understanding of COBie Standards.
  • Knowledge of Dynamo and subsequent programming language(s).
  • History of contributing to technically sound teams, as well as ability to motivate and coach others.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the technical needs of the industry and proven track record of quality monitoring, maintenance, and improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to mobilize company technical strategies through project execution.
