Maintenance Tech 2 - Montreal Court, Minneapolis
The Maintenance Technician 2 is a critical member of our team who can solve a problem for our residents to keep them happy and satisfied by ensuring requests and repairs are made in a reliable, timely and safe manner. Maintenance Technicians are accountable for identifying and resolving problems, completing service requests, and making repairs in accordance with operating and safety standards.

Starting pay $23 per hour (or more based on experience)!

Job Duties Include:
- Complete assigned Service Requests related to repairs and upkeep of properties. This includes areas of heating, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, flooring, HVAC, and other general repairs. Recommending replacement or repair, as necessary. Ensure that all work completed is professional and clean after leaving our residents homes.
- Prepare open apartments for rental within 24 to 72 hours. This may include coordinating the work of other staff or vendors.
- Participate in ongoing training to build and maintain knowledge and skills to excel in their role as a Maintenance Technician.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with residents by addressing and responding to requests, questions, and concerns, making referrals to manager or maintenance team members as appropriate.
- Complete and document daily building inspections with the focus on proactive maintenance.
- Ensure the attractive internal and external appearance of all buildings and grounds, which may include removing debris and weeds, and reporting maintenance needs.
- Participate in ongoing training to build and maintain knowledge and skills to excel in their role as a Maintenance Technician.
Experience and Education:
- A High School degree, GED or equivalent.
- Equivalent education with one to two years’ related experience and/or training preferred.
- Business needs and/or state, local and federal laws may dictate required certifications and licensure for a region or specific location.
- Valid driver’s license, vehicle, vehicle insurance and clean driving record for past 3 years.
- Proficiency of the English language in reading, writing and verbal communication.
- Demonstrated proficiency and quality of advanced maintenance skills.
