Preventive Maintenance Tech - Fargo
The Preventive Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing regular maintenance on boilers, water heaters, A/C units, air exchangers, forced air furnaces, CO2 detectors and dryer exhaust systems in a cost-effective, timely manner, contributing to the overall profitability of the properties. They provide exceptional customer service and perform preventive maintenance while maintaining a professional image at all times. Pay starting at $20/hour (or more based on experience)!

Job Duties Include:
- Completes assigned Service Requests related to the preventive care of our properties. This includes boilers, water heaters, HVAC, A/C units, air exchangers, forced air furnaces, CO2 detectors and dryer exhaust systems. In addition to general repairs of all mechanical equipment. Recommending replacement or repair, as necessary.
- Ensures that all work completed is professional and clean after leaving our residents homes.
- Participate in ongoing training to build and maintain knowledge and skills to excel in their role as a Preventive Maintenance Technician.
- May assist with seasonal maintenance duties as listed on the Spring/Summer and Winter/Fall checklists.
- Maintain an organized working inventory of routine parts and supplies at the maintenance garage. Always utilize required safety equipment.
- May assist in completing daily building inspections with the focus on preventive maintenance.
- Complete and document repairs and conditions of assets that received preventive care.
- May assist in preparing open apartments for rental within 24 to 72 hours. This may include assisting with coordinating the work of other team members or vendors.
- Understand and follow all OSHA and our company safety standards for work you perform.
Experience & Education:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to relate to a diverse group of people.
- Equivalent education with one to two years’ related experience and/or training preferred.
- A well-organized and self-directed individual who is a team player.
- Good working knowledge of basic maintenance repairs.
- Some previous maintenance, electrical, mechanical repair experience preferred.
- Must have a vehicle, valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record and meet company insurability requirements.
