Job Summary: Provide bioanalytical method development for quantitative analysis of test compounds in biological matrices obtained from a variety of studies for non-GLP and GLP regulated studies. 

 

Essential Functions: 

 

  • Develop, optimize, and validate LC-MS/MS bioanalytical methods within biological matrices with high technical level report writing upon completion of study
  • Develop and implement assays for bioanalysis of small molecules, peptides, and amino acids in both a non-GLP regulated and GLP regulated environment
  • Perform instrumentation qualifications, calibrations, and verifications
  • Use and maintenance of Sciex (Analyst® Software) and Thermo Scientific (Xcalibur® software) triple quadrupole mass spectrometers
  • Experience in PK study design, data interpretation, and analysis

  • Good written and oral communication, and organizational skills are mandatory.

 

Job QualificationsGeneral Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA’s) required

 

  • Experience with method development, executing, and troubleshooting LC-MS/MS assays
  • Experience with sample extraction techniques such as PPT, SLE, and derivatization
  • Time management, organizational skills, and a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively as both an individual contributor and in a collaborative team setting.
  • Knowledge regarding troubleshooting techniques of bioanalytical assay method development, qualification, validation, and sample analysis
  • Experience in the application of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) to provide accurate documentation of analytical results
  • Experience using laboratory equipment including HPLC-MS/MS, Precellys® tissue homogenizer and routine equipment used for sample preparation.
  • Knowledge of or capability to learn Analyst®, Excalibur®, LCQuan® and Microsoft® Office software platforms.
  • Knowledgeable in the application of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) to provide well-regulated and accurate documentation of analytical results for inclusion into regulatory documents.

 

Physical Demands: Physical, Mental and workplace Environment Conditions

 

  •  Attention to detail regarding safety and accuracy of procedures performed. Lite lifting of up to 20lbs. may be required.

  •  Position functions are performed in an office and laboratory environment.

 

Education and Experience: 

  • Position requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, pharmacy or a related discipline, plus a minimum 10 years of applicable lab bench experience.
