Job Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills and Experience:
    • Proficiency in bearing replacements, motor replacements, motor alignments, equipment rebuilds, and preventive maintenance.
    • Experience with compressors, screw conveyors, belt conveyors, elevators, gearboxes, and various pump systems.
    • Understanding of lubrication systems, basic hydraulics, and equipment part nomenclature.
    • Competence in using measuring devices and understanding tolerances for mechanical repairs.
    • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, sketches, and manufacturer specifications.
    • Familiarity with basic cement manufacturing processes and equipment operation.
    • Welding and fabrication experience preferred (not mandatory).
  • Educational and Professional Background:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    • Completion of a certified welding course is mandatory.
    • Three to five years of experience in the cement industry or a related field.
    • Stable work history demonstrating reliability and commitment.
  • Practical Skills:
    • Capability to perform mechanical repairs relevant to cement plant operations.
    • Proficiency in motor and equipment alignment, vibration analysis, and troubleshooting.
    • Skill in operating oxy-acetylene and electrical welding and cutting tools to weld or cut metal in various positions.
    • Ability to install new machinery and equipment.
  • Safety and Work Environment:
    • Strong commitment to adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
    • Ability to maintain clean, organized, and safe working areas, including tools and equipment.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Must be in good physical condition to handle the demands of the job, including bending, kneeling, walking, standing, climbing stairs, and lifting.
    • High level of manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and ability to perform tasks requiring precision.

This position calls for a well-rounded candidate with a blend of mechanical aptitude, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to safety and efficiency in a demanding industrial environment. 

What you will do:

Make mechanical repairs on plant and quarry equipment and install new or replacement equipment. Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on plant equipment.
