CHG - Marketing - Senior Graphic Designer
JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Graphic Designer is a key creative role within our Marketing Team, instrumental to the company's success and growth. This position focuses on print, digital, and conceptual design, and is responsible for executing creative projects from concept to completion. Collaborating closely with the Marketing and Creative Teams, you will ensure projects are on-brand and delivered on time, maintaining consistency across various marketing channels.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Design & Delivery: Create and deliver collateral for multiple channels, including digital/animation, social media, email,
and print.
• Concept Development: Develop concepts from scratch, producing on-brand creative for all platforms.
• Brand Compliance: Adhere to brand guidelines and ensure the quality and accuracy of all collateral.
• Leadership: Provide design guidance and ideas to enhance programming and team efficiency.
• Project Management: Ensure timely coordination and completion of projects, meeting deadlines consistently.
• Collaboration: Work with the Marketing Team and other internal departments to bring ideas to life, ensuring clear and
concise messaging.
• Communication: Present ideas effectively and deliver multiple creative solutions aligned with company goals.
• Problem-Solving: Take initiative to solve problems autonomously with a focus on solution-oriented discussions.
• Brainstorming: Participate in and lead brainstorming sessions to introduce new design perspectives and ideas.
• Design Skills: Demonstrate strong aesthetic and typography skills.
• Feedback: Provide constructive feedback to the in-house Creative Team, creative agencies, and internal department partners.
• Proofreading & Accuracy: Proofread and review all designs and collateral for accuracy, ensuring error-free and high-quality
final outputs.
• Design Elements: Select colors, fonts, photos, and other design elements to communicate project goals effectively.
• Multitasking: Manage multiple tasks and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Industry Trends: Stay current with design trends and industry developments.
• Presentation: Pitch and present work clearly, communicating concept rationales.
• Digital & Print Formatting: Ensure digital designs are correctly formatted for digital output and print designs meet
specifications, including color accuracy and layout.
• Productivity: Contribute to the creation and implementation of creative templates and workflows to enhance productivity.
• Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with vendors as needed.
• Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience: 3-5 years of experience working in-house or at an agency is preferred.
• Education: Degree in Graphic Design, Motion Graphics, Graphic Arts, or a related field is preferred.
• Skills: Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, etc.).
• Portfolio: A well-rounded portfolio demonstrating relevant experience and independently produced original samples.
• Industry Experience: Casino/hospitality experience is preferred; knowledge of motion graphics/animation is a plus.
• Print Knowledge: Must have a strong understanding of print design and production.
• Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Problem-Solving: Showcase creative problem-solving abilities.
• Collaboration: Collaborative, open to feedback, and comfortable working as a team player.
• Attendance: Consistent and regular attendance is essential.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Vision: Requires normal, corrective vision range and the ability to distinguish colors, letters, numbers, and symbols.
• Lifting: Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Positioning: Tasks may be performed from sitting or standing positions.
