JOB SUMMARY:

 

Responsible for providing outstanding, friendly and informative guest service while assisting with guest luggage and coordinating tour group luggage handling. Support the front desk staff with communication on concerns regarding customer issues.
 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

·        Responsible for practicing, supporting and promoting the Company Service Standards at all times

·        Greets arriving guests and retrieves the guest’s luggage and bags

·        Answers to all guests using their name, answering questions in a manner that reflects an understanding of the department and property in general

·        Escorts guests to their room, explaining room facilities

·        Transport departing guest’s luggage from the room to the lobby, ensuring that the guest has verified that all luggage has been accounted for

·        Assist with keeping lobby area clean and orderly

·        Assist supervisors in identifying guests with special needs to ensure the protection of the company assets and best guest service possible

·        Observe and report unusual or suspicious behavior

·        Transport departing guests’ luggage from the room to the lobby, ensuring that the guest has verified that all luggage has been accounted for

·        Assist with keeping lobby area clean and orderly

·        Ensure that luggage has been stored safely according to prescribed procedures

·        Be fully aware of what functions are going on in the hotel

·        Provide gracious, attentive, and friendly service

·        Other duties as required
 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

·        Ability to communicate effectively with guests, team members and management in both written and verbal form

·        Fluent in English

·        Understand and comply with all company, departmental and Gaming Control Board rules and regulations, policies and procedures

·        Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift to include weekends and holidays

·        Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationship with team members and guests

·        Must be at least 21 years of age

 

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 

 

      ·        High school graduate or GED equivalent required

·        Previous Hotel/Casino experience as a bellman is preferred

 

 

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

 

·        Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols 

·        Auditory range must include immediate environment

·        Ability to navigate a bell cart with luggage and lift up to 75 pounds

·        Ability to climb, bend, reach, pull, walk and stand for the duration of the shift

·        Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment

·        Constant contact with fellow team members and guests

·        Work is typically in an area which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy and may contain secondhand smoke.
