Position Overview: The Supply Chain Specialist ensures efficient operations by managing procurement, inventory, logistics, and supplier relationships. Key responsibilities include strategic planning, forecasting, contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and risk mitigation. This role offers the chance to optimize supply chain processes and drive organizational success in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning and Forecasting: Develop and implement strategic plans that align with organizational objectives. Forecast future demand to ensure supply availability.
- Procurement and Sourcing: Identify and select suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure suppliers meet quality standards.
- Inventory Management and Control: Determine optimal inventory levels, monitor stock, and track inventory in real-time.
- Logistics and Transportation: Manage the transport of goods, select transport options, negotiate contracts with carriers, and manage shipping schedules.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Maintain positive relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable, timely, and quality supplies.
- Risk Management and Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and identify potential supply chain risks, implementing measures to mitigate them.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor performance across the supply chain and report on key metrics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, and logistics.
- Proficiency in SAP and other ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
