Job Overview:
The Master Production Scheduler (Injection Mold) reports to the Center Manager and is responsible for implementing and driving the Master schedule and consistently ensuring customer delivery programs are met and achieved.
Primary Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Implement and drive the Master Production Schedule to ensure a level production plan as well as to ensure production line provisions for variations of customers demand are met.
- Analyze, understand and anticipate the customer needs, ensuring that they are reflected in production activities.
- Analyze customer Misdeliveries Per Million (MPM) in order to propose improvement action plans: define and optimize data gathering and exchange and ensure data integrity in systems.
- Prepare the Sales & Operations Planning (PIC) on a monthly basis in order to obtain proper volume levels and optimize resources (employees, machines, materials and supplier readiness and capacity).
- Manage the pool and safety stocks levels.
- Check that the sequencer and procurements are consistent with the PDP.
- Daily responsibilities include the following, however not limited to:
- Schedule Presses: Manage optimum production sequencing based on demand and prioritization; lead the team based on resource constraints.
- Ensures the accuracy of master schedule.
- Review schedule compliance and opportunities for improvement.
- Track production and scrap
- Track Inventory – DOH
- Review and correct negative inventory
- Nysus Super User: Maintain employee roster, tools assigned to presses, mgt. reporting, etc.
- Track safety stock with plan to rotate (weekly).
- Plan safety stock based on optimal stock quantity and run size.
- Coordinate - ECN’s – Systems update (SAP/Nysus) and inventory management – as it occurs. Managing part transition while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
- Review BOM for accuracy.
- Work with Buyer on material releases and receipts
- Coordinate tool repairs and banks
- Maintain Capacity Plan: Understand constraints and demonstrated production throughput.
- Coordinate with management on shortages affecting internal production departments.
Required Skills/Education/Experience:
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and/or qualifications:
- A Bachelors' degree is preferred; a High School diploma/GED is required.
- No less than (5) years’ experience in an injection molding manufacturing facility and production in an industrial environment.
- Technical software knowledge and experience with: SAP is required; Nysus and other MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) is highly preferred.
