Position Overview:

The Supplier Quality Incoming Auditor Intern will be responsible for auditing poor-performing suppliers, reviewing their 8D reports, evaluating their processes, and inspecting incoming materials to ensure compliance with our quality standards. This role provides valuable experience in supplier quality management and the opportunity to work closely with suppliers to drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Auditing: Conduct audits of poor-performing suppliers to evaluate their processes, identify root causes of quality issues, and verify corrective actions.
  • 8D Review: Review and assess suppliers’ 8D reports (8 Disciplines Problem Solving) to ensure they have effectively addressed quality concerns and implemented sustainable solutions.
  • Process Evaluation: Evaluate suppliers' manufacturing processes to identify potential risks, ensure adherence to quality standards, and recommend improvements.
  • Incoming Material Inspection: Inspect incoming materials from suppliers to ensure they meet quality specifications and comply with company standards.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of audits, inspections, and reviews, and assist in creating reports on supplier performance.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Supplier Quality team and suppliers to address quality issues, follow up on corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Ensure that suppliers comply with relevant industry standards and regulations, and provide feedback to suppliers on areas of non-compliance.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present reports on supplier audits, 8D reviews, and incoming material inspections to management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Quality Knowledge: Basic understanding of quality management systems, supplier auditing processes, and 8D problem-solving methodology.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate supplier processes, identify issues, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail in conducting audits, reviewing 8D reports, and inspecting incoming materials.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with suppliers and present findings to management.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with quality management software is a plus.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with suppliers, engineers, and quality professionals to achieve quality goals.
