Position Overview:

• We are looking for a product engineering intern to join our team and help us create the next generation of products.
• As a product engineering intern, you will be responsible for supporting the creation of new product concepts and prototypes. You will also have the chance to work on both software and hardware elements, depending on your interests and skills.
• You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and designers to communicate your findings and insights, and to collaborate on product development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in brainstorming sessions and user research to generate ideas for new products and features
• Creating low-fidelity and high-fidelity prototypes or proof-of-concept models to demonstrate the feasibility and functionality of the ideas.
• -Support user testing and feedback sessions to validate and iterate on the prototypes.
• Design and prototype hardware solutions for various product engineering challenges
  • Test and debug hardware components and ensure their functionality and reliability
  • Research and evaluate new hardware technologies and materials
• Design and prototype software solutions for various product engineering challenges
  • Create sketches, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to communicate and test your concepts
  • Write code, scripts, or firmware to implement your prototypes and validate your assumptions (for software solutions)
• Collaborate with other product engineering interns and team members to share feedback and improve your work
• Present your work to stakeholders and incorporate their feedback
• Document your process and findings and report on your progress

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in engineering, design, or a related field
• Passionate about technology and innovation
• Curious, creative, and analytical thinker
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Proficient in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C++)
• Familiar with design tools (e.g., Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD)
• Experience with hardware prototyping tools (e.g., Arduino, Raspberry Pi, 3D printing) is a plus
• Available for at least 3 months, full-time or part-time, with the potential to extend for subsequent terms.
