Position Overview:
The Corporate Accounting Intern will support the finance and accounting team in various aspects of financial reporting, analysis, and process optimization. This internship offers the opportunity to work with SAP S4 Hana ERP, gaining experience in a critical enterprise resource planning system used by leading organizations worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- SAP S4 Hana ERP: Work with the SAP S4 Hana ERP system to manage financial data, perform reconciliations, and support various accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Data Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or process improvements.
- Journal Entries: Assist in preparing and posting journal entries, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Reconciliations: Perform bank, account, and intercompany reconciliations, identifying discrepancies and assisting in their resolution.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the budgeting and forecasting process by gathering and analyzing financial data, and preparing reports for management review.
- Compliance: Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring that all documentation is accurate, organized, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with the accounting team to identify and implement process improvements, particularly in the use of the SAP S4 Hana ERP system.
- Ad Hoc Projects: Participate in special projects and assignments as needed, providing support to various finance and accounting initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Experience or coursework in SAP S4 Hana or other ERP systems is highly desirable.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all financial reports and analyses.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present financial information.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues and propose solutions, particularly in the context of financial data management and reporting.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with a proactive approach to learning and contributing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Strong skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; familiarity with data visualization tools is a plus.
