Job Description
A Supply Chain SAP Key User is involved in the testing of the SAP solution and the SAP user training of colleagues. As a key user, you drive business decisions in your respective area of expertise to help define the solution. You are responsible for the successful and timely completion of the project tasks assigned to you.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Act as liaison between supply chain and IT department.
- Help design, implement, and evaluate all systems, applications, and product technology for organization.
- Clean all system generated errors.
- Communicate and help resolve all errors with cross-functional teams and departments
- Act as SAP key user
- Train new hires with SAP & other systems
- Help IT develop all the reports accurately in launch phase for supply chain needs.
- Help test all the reports, data coming into and out of multiple systems in test environment.
- Help set up EDI’s with new customers & suppliers.
- Help in resolving system short comings for inventory accuracy.
- Help IT in developing real time data reporting for system inaccuracies or when mistakes are made.
- Identify system related issues ahead of time before data goes to customer.
- Monitor multiple systems to identify any potential current/future issues with reporting data.
- Work with IT group to make system more robust and accurate.
- Follow up with IT & other groups on all active issues until closure.
- Help launch new IT systems in supply chain.
- Help IT to sync all different systems accurately with each other.
- Year-end systems tasks performed for supply chain to be ready for next year.
- Maintain visual workplace / 5S of the service area (All parts clearly labled in the location in which it is designated).
- Assist with any additional tasks as assigned by the company
Required Skills/Education/Knowledge/Experience:
The ideal candidate will have/possess the following qualifications:
- A college degree or equivalent (minimum three years)’ experience managing Ford and or other customer service part activities. APICS certifications a plus
- Experience managing inventory in a Warehouse Management System
- Detail oriented
- Familiar with ERP systems (SAP experience preferred) and customer systems (Ford FCSD experience preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience filing customer obsolescence claims
- Experience managing hourly employees
- Knowledge of Lean and other continuous improvement tools such as kaizen and Six Sigma
- Knowledge of and experience with Industry 4.0 concepts
- Strong with data analytics
