Job Overview
Coordinates and expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between sections or departments, according to production and shipping schedules or department priorities, and compiles and maintains manual or computerized records: Reviews production schedules and related information and confers with department supervisors to determine material requirements to identify overdue materials and to track material.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
1. Daily Market operation
- Audit each Marketplace location for actual parts and Location label
- Correct all non-conforming item from Audit report immediately
- Prepare non-conforming report and improvement plan.
- Make sure that all Vertical Market materials has FIFO label and be able to scan.
- Make sure that all Received Materials were put in correct location within an hour it was received.
2. Parts Shortage reporting
- Daily audit/reporting of Material in Minimum qty.
- Make sure that Tugger Driver has a tool to highlight/visualize material in Minimum qty
- Make sure that Market Driver prioritize location with Alert tool for replenishment
- Alert planers to any predetermined shortage amount.
3. Quality reporting
- Prepare report on all damaged / wrong packaging to PC&L concern person (Planner/Packaging Engineer)
4. Safety reporting
- Close out Section immediately if Racking Material (beams/uprights/etc.) is in bad condition after incident.
- Prepare Safety report for incident/accident related to Material handling operation in Marketplace
- Weekly audit of Vertical racking condition / Plan for replacement / Order of Materials / Request Maintenance for repair
- Put in work orders for racking.
- Daily 5'S audit before and after the shift.
5. 5'S
- Daily 5'S audit before and after the shift.
- Correct all non-conforming item from Audit report immediately
- Contact crown if reach truck is down.
6. Continuous Improvement
- Always check possibility of changing material location base on usage, packaging.
- Request IE or packaging engineer help for improvement action if necessary
7. ECN change
- Coordinate with ECC Coordinator for the upcoming Eng'g change
- Prepare special label if necessary and post it on Market location reference to the change as instructed
- Update Market Database following Eng. change
- Assign Market location for new parts
- Print Market label and stick to actual Market location
8. WMS Expert
- Be the point person once the WMS is started.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Good customer communication skills PREFERRED
- Possess basic computer knowledge – Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Understand and work in Ford system (CMMS3, EDDL)
- Functional production/Inventory Knowledge
- Fork Lift experience.
- Good organizing skills, detail oriented
