RIS - CC-Case Manager HS/PRS
Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Baton Rouge is seeking a full time Home Study/Post Relief Services Case Manager to provide home study and post release services for unaccompanied immigrant children and their sponsors served through the Global Refuge (formally LIRS) HS/PRS program. The case manager will conduct comprehensive intake and assessments of client needs as well as develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate individual service plans to include goal attainment and outcome measures for each client; link clients with appropriate community supports to ensure goal attainment is achieved. This position requires maintaining external relationships and representing the agency to the public. As such it requires a polished, business-like demeanor and professional appearance which excludes unnatural hair color, conspicuous body art and facial piercings.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or other relevant degree. Equivalent experience with education may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Fluent in Spanish and English
- Minimum 1 year experience with child welfare programs preferred
- Attention to detail and ability to balance multiple simultaneous responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.
- Completion of background checks such as driving record, criminal record, and sex offense registry, state and local police records, or national sources such as FBI and E-Verify as required by funding agencies or determined necessary by Catholic Charities and results must be satisfactory to CCDBR, its representatives, employees, or agents as an essential requirement of employment.
- Valid Driver’s license and current proof of vehicle insurance required

Physical Demands
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, speaking, reading, writing, typing, and seeing up to 8 hours per day.
- Occasionally carrying / lifting to 20 lbs., reaching above shoulder level, bending, and gripping/grasping.
- Frequent repetitive movement of upper/lower extremities.
- Temperature controlled indoor working environment. Fluorescent lighting, occasional isolated conditions.
- When the agency responds to disasters, the employee may be requested to perform duties outside of the primary job responsibilities both in the office and at off-site locations affected by the disaster.
Work Environment:
- This is a Work From Home position.
- Occasionally work is performed in an office environment, with standard office equipment available. Lighting and temperature adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.
- This position requires maintaining office hours and a regular work schedule of 8am – 5pm, Monday – Friday with occasional after hours and weekends.
- When the agency responds to disasters, performing duties outside primary job responsibilities may be requested in the office and at off-site locations.
