CNC Machinist Job Description:
This role involves setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality parts that meet our specifications and standards. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience in machining. You’ll work closely with the production team to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and quality in all machining processes.
CNC Machinist Job Responsibilities:

Machine Setup and Operation:
- Set up, program, and operate CNC machines, including lathes, mills, and grinders.
- Load materials into machines, set tooling and fixtures, and ensure accurate machine calibration.

Programming and Adjustments:
- Program CNC machines to produce parts per blueprint specifications.
- Make necessary adjustments to machine settings and programs to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Troubleshoot and resolve programming and operational issues.

Quality Control:
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality and dimensional standards.
- Use precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to verify part specifications.
- Identify and address quality concerns in collaboration with quality assurance.

Maintenance and Safety:
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure optimal operation.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor.

Continuous Improvement:
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and product quality.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize machining processes and workflows.
CNC Machinist Job Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, with proficiency in setting up, operating, and programming CNC machines.
- Knowledge of CNC machine software (e.g., Mastercam, G-code).
- Strong understanding of blueprints, mechanical drawings, and engineering specifications.
- Ability to use measuring instruments and conduct quality inspections.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical certification or diploma in CNC machining or a related field.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
