Shipping/Receiving Coordinator
Position Title: Warehouse Shipping/Receiving Coordinator
Location: Howell, MI
Rate: Starting at $17/HR
Warehouse Coordinator Job Responsibilities:
1. Receives, packages, dispatches, tracks and ensures on time delivery of goods
2. Maintains safe, clean, and efficient shipping/receiving area with daily organizational maintenance, including daily sweeping and garbage disposal
3. Package products to company and customer specifications
4. Load and unload service truck shipments
5. Coordinates and transfers material, using company service truck, to various internal departments and plants according to the company’s daily shipment schedule
6. Coordinates packaging slips, delivery notes, and freight orders with administrators
7. Inspect, receive, inventory, and store away materials received for stock and work orders
8. Maintain an accurate and organized inventory of materials received
9. Plans and schedules inbound and outbound shipments to external customers based on needs
10. Inspects physical condition of warehouse and equipment and prepares work order for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment
11. Maintains material safety data sheet library
12. Provides general maintenance of shipping/receiving area,
13. General maintenance or notification of maintenance for service truck and folk truck
14. Snow removal and salting of entrance walkways
Warehouse Coordinator Job Requirements
1. Two year degree/certification in business or supply chain management and two years of experience in receiving, loading, transporting, stacking, order filing, shipping, and maintaining stock records in a warehouse; or five years’ experience in receiving, loading, transporting, stacking, order filing, shipping, and maintaining stock records in a warehouse.
2. Strong self-starter
3. Good oral and written communication skills
4. Truck operators license
5. Ability to lift, push, pull weights in the 0-85 lb range
6. Ability to operate fork lift trucks
7. Ability to and experience in rigging weights up to 1 ton
8. Knowledge in the use of mechanical and electrical hand tools
9. Good interpersonal skills
10. Good ability to multi-task effectively
11. Good analytical and creative problem solving skills
Work Environment:
1. Work is performed in a manufacturing environment. This position has a traditional work schedule that requires five (5) eight (8) hour days during a Monday through Friday work schedule. Overtime is administered on an as needed basis as determined by the supervisor.
2. Shop floor duties will involve the use of standard tooling, being around light and heavy machinery, be exposed to noise, and will be required to follow standard manufacturing safety practices
