ERSEA Specialist - Limited Term
This role is bilingual/biliterate in Spanish and English. A test will be administered prior to employment.
This role is limited term and expected to end in July 2025.
As an ERSEA Specialist, you will play a crucial role in overseeing data entry for Child Youth and Family Services. You will work closely with Center Supervisors, Family Service Advocates, Family Childcare Coordinators, and Area Managers to ensure the integrity and compliance of program eligibility. Your responsibilities will include determining initial and continued eligibility for federally funded programs, providing training and support, and maintaining strong relationships with families.
Qualifications:
- Has a High school diploma.
- Has five years of related experience performing administrative functions, case management, eligibility determinations or an equivalent combination of related education and experience in Child Development, Social Science, Psychology, Human Development, Liberal Studies.
Plus
- Two of the years must be experience working equivalent to performing eligibility determinations as the primary function of your job responsibilities.
Or
- Associate's Degree in Child Development, Social Science, Psychology, Human Development, Liberal Studies
- Has One year of experience working equivalent to performing eligibility determinations as primary function of your job responsibilities.
- Is bilingual in Spanish and English.
- Has two years of experience with federally funding programs. (Preferred)
- Has a Computer Science Certificate. (Preferred)
- Has dependable, insured transportation and a valid California Driver’s license (mileage to be reimbursed) and acceptable driving record. A DMV printout and proof of insurance will be required.
As an ERSEA Specialist You Will:
- Maintain cooperative relationships with staff, clients, and community members.
- Assist with updates to ERSEA policies and procedures.
- Implement training programs for new and existing staff.
- Oversee federal waitlist and application processes.
- Ensure accurate income calculations and documentation.
- Prepare and analyze reports using Excel, Google Sheets, and PowerPoint.
- Stay informed on relevant legislation and its impact.
- Conduct eligibility interviews and process verification requests.
- Monitor and maintain data for compliance and audits.
- Participate in recruitment activities and manage social media posts.
- Review and process waitlist and enrollment applications.
- Attend meetings and provide program education.
